They were worried about what happen to Christians who had died.

They believed that Jesus would be coming back soon.

AFRAID they be forgotten or miss out on something.

They expected the Christ would return very shortly.

GOOD IDEA

Surprise inspection on Christmas day

We should always live with the idea that Jesus will come back any second.

They had gotten hold of some bad theology.

Ignorance concerning spiritual realities is always a bad thing.

It matters what you believe.

You are not special,

There is not one Bible for you and another one for me.

In this case, robs you of your hope

LEADS ME TO BE AS OTHERS DO WHO HAVE NO HOPE

Uniformed believe

There are no consequences for sin

They will never be persecuted

Prosperity Gospel

I will understand everything

Some times it is a God thing and you and I are not God

I will be informed

I would do everything this side of Heaven to be informed in Spiritual matters

14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep

All that matters is that at the end of the day, we will be forever with the Lord.

He has done great things already

He has promised great things

He is coming back for me

Everything will be make right

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.

He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

5 And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”

GOD takes me through problems

I will Pray and have Faith

“For since we believe”

Because I am in the know, I have hope

My real future is with God

Death is not the end point
