Have you ever heard the audible voice of God? Sound crazy?
I thought I was going crazy when I heard it for the first time… It was in my ‘Grand Central Station’ apartment.
There was so much traffic from my drug dealing, that I never really had any peace.
Until one night, no customers, and no drugs.
Just quietness and a clear mind.
It was peaceful, maybe to peaceful.
The TV was on, I was walking around my living room and there it came!
A voice saying, “Come back to me!”.
I pretended to ignore it, but 10 minutes later, the same audible phrase was heard again, “Come back to me!”.
This time I yelled back, like I knew what I was saying and to who I was saying it to, “I’m not ready to back to you!”.
(My back ground of always having a faith in Jesus)
After yelling at Him like that, I thought I lost Him.
I felt so empty.
Little did I know His plan to get me back was put into motion.
Inspired from Isaiah 43:1-3 (Message)
But now, GOD’s Message, the God who made you in the first place, the One who got you started:
“Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you.
I’ve called your name.
You’re mine.
When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.
When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down.
When you’re between a rock and a hard place,
it won’t be a dead end—
Because I am GOD, your personal God.”
To know that you belong to something special & bigger then you could ever imagine!
It is an awesome feeling!
That phrase: I am Yours and You are mine.... WOW!
About a month after I heard the audible voice of God, I found myself living on the streets, running for my life, with a drug addiction I couldn’t kick!
One night I found myself in a stolen car crying to God!
I said if you are listening and want me back, then I am yours.
And guess what, He took me back!
Since that night I have been on a journey of a lifetime!
Never in this time have I doubted that I am His and He is mine!
He proves Himself to be faithful over and over and over again!
He constantly reminds me of who I am in His eyes!
If you let Him, He will show you what He created you to be!
These are some of His words about you:
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!
And that is what we are!
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the *praises of Him who *called you out of darkness * into His marvelous light;
I have called you by name; you are mine.
Heavenly Father is calling us to something greater then ourselves.
Whether you hear His audible voice calling out to you, or His Holy Spirit speaking to your heart, or He is using someone close to you to speak to you… He is calling you!
I chose not to wait a moment more… I am challenging you, now, Don’t wait a moment more!
