Confusion, what is it?

Confusion - loosing your bearings, not able to get clear direction, being perplexed, disoriented

proph•et•ess \ˈprä-fə-təs\ noun

14th century: a woman who is a prophet

proph•et \ˈprä-fət\ noun

[Middle English prophete, from Anglo-French, from Latin propheta, from Greek prophētēs, from pro for + phanai to speak—more at FOR, BAN] 12th century

1: one who utters divinely inspired revelations: as

a often capitalized: the writer of one of the prophetic books of the Bible

7 And when we had finished our course from Tyre, we came to Ptolemais, and saluted the brethren, and abode with them one day. 8 And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. 9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.

33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. 27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. 30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. 31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat

25 We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.

13  bHe that covereth his sins shall not prosper:

But whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

13  Only acknowledge your guilt,

that you rebelled against the LORD your God

and scattered your favors among foreigners under every green tree,

and that you have not obeyed my voice,

declares the LORD.

14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

Exodus: An Introduction and Commentary God’s Self-Proclamation (34:5–9)

To the third and the fourth generation: a common Semitic idiom to express continuance (see note on 20:5). We who live in a world full of legacies of hate between colours and cultures can see only too clearly how sin in one generation affects those who follow after

7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, eproud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

-Confusion is a weapon the enemy uses to kill people! -Confusion - loosing your bearings, not able to get clear direction, being perplexed, disoriented
-Confusion - loosing your bearings, not able to get clear direction, being perplexed, disoriented
-Confusion comes when we get wisdom or our answer to our problems anywhere other than God (His Word)
We, the Church, must ware our armour twenty four seven! If we don’t we unknowingly and sometimes knowingly, invite evil to come into the House of God ; because of our behavior.
