Introduction
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. The words of Jesus as he teaches us how to pray. Many times the ability to understand the why will be the motivation you need to give God the praise that he truly deserves! Understand the reason you are here, in a nutshell Jesus took your place, looked at your sins and saw the potential of the whole world living as Christians and made a vow to adhere to the calling of Jesus Christ to die for the entire world. Not only is Jesus arrested, not only is he beaten, not only is he spit upon, not only are his clothes ripped, not only was be flogged, beaten with rods, and a crown of thorns fastened to his head he was hung on a cross for you, me, and even Barabbas.
Jesus experienced the greatest and most atrocious act of social injustice known to man. Not only was he beat because of his beliefs, his calling, and the unbelief of others he still operated within his calling. I worship because Jesus saw fit to take my place, so I can have an opportunity at eternity with him.

Barabbas 1st name was actually Jesus, as referenced in where he is called Jesus Barabbas. This occurence is explicitly discussed in all four gospels.
Barabbas was a thief, murderer and an insurrectionist. His murder actually came at the hands of a government uprising.
The government essentially lets Barabbas go and undoubtedly accuses Jesus of similar crimes besides murder. Jesus a well known healer, Barabbas a well know prisoner “At that time they were holding a notorious prisoner, called Barabbas”.
Although we do not know much about Barabbas, all I do know is that Jesus took his place too.
Pilate even declares Jesus innocent, “and when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews and said to them, I find no guilt in Him.
When people are filled with hate, it does not matter who presents you as innocent.
Jesus takes the place of Barabbas because salvation is available to all of us.

This is worship, I worship Jesus because like Barabbas, he took my place.
I was that prisoner to sin, I was that insurrectionist in the kingdom, I killed spirits, I was discouraging and Jesus saw fit to take my place.
Understand Jesus not only took his place, but suffered to take the place of Barabbas.
I worship because Jesus as it is explained in and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.
Propitiation or Hilasmos meaning the atoning death of Jesus on the cross, through which he paid the penalty demanded by God because of people’s sin, He set us free from sin and death.
Jesus was free of sin, he took on our sins, meanwhile redeeming us from the penalty death demands.
I worship because it should have been me. I’m thankful because it should have been me. Jesus shows us on earth what he plans to do from heaven.
Let me die for Barabbas,
Let me die for the people who accused me,
Let me die for the adulterer
Let me die for the thief, meanwhile hung on a cross between two of them, let me die for them too.
Let me die for the people who beat me and accused me of doing nothing but living for my father!
Let me die for the racist
Let me die for fornicator
Let me die for the liar
Let me die for alcoholic
Let me die for the murderer
And if they should be convicted enough to turn their life around, there is space for them too! He took the place of a murdered to be crucified between two thieves.
This is why I worship!
Understand that each one of us is personally responsible for our relationship with Jesus Christ. Think about his expectation, he died for you. Jesus deserves our service. He did not die for us to argue, he didn’t die for us to make conditions about his sacrifice. He died so that we could be free from sin, and live eternally with him.
this Man, delivered over by the by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death. But God raised Him up again, putting an end to agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.
It had to be gut wrenching to hear face to face what they were guilty of but thank God for verse 37, worship means more when I am compelled to ask that question what shall we do!
Worship should add to your transformation, not build on your ability to conform.
I worship because of the nails in his hands, I worship because of the nails in his feet freed me!
I could be on the cross of life and as long as I have breath in my lungs I can commit to Jesus Christ.
And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong. And he was saying, Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom.
