Are All Calamities From God

Calamities.....Sun - eclipse…three major hurricanes......wildfires....earthquakes..

Are we seeing a situation where creation is groaning?

If it is the birth pains Jesus and Paul said we must be prepared and vigilant…We must do our part so that people are prepared unlike the people of the flood....( it is amazing to see what water can do for days imagine the heaven and earth opening up for 40 days to see the power of water and what it can do to create canyons mountains rivers and sediment.)

When this happens people always come out and say it is the judgement of God…Or is it a consequence of a broken world?

I certainly believe the Lord is Lord over all creation and can do with it what he wants and has done so…

THE CREATOR AND SOVEREIGN.

In the beginning he created the heavens and the earth..

He formed creation....

He who created the world is able to control it…sun stand still plagues…wind..

Col says all things were made for and by and all things are held together by Jesus..

but all things that happen should not be directly at the hand of God

Jesus rebuked waves..

He is the God over nature and sometimes influences the weather....

He has used nature for his purposes.....and for judgement against evil....The book of Rev describes several disasters...

But all things that happen should not be directly at the hand of God…Nothing escapes his eye and his knowledge and we do not know all the purposes of God...

They call them acts of God.......and yet no credit is given to good when good for years even centuries of peaceful weather.....

All these calamaties....cause people to question God’ goodness.....

When people think God is absolutely in charge of everything how do we explain suffering...

I CATEGORICALLY STATE IT DON’T HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS…HIS WAYS ARE HIGHER THAN HUMAN UNDERSTANDING...

Though it is true that God works in all for His good.....most importantly is to act with compassion and benevolence when people have lost.

When hurting and confused we hold to the fact that He is good...

God set in creation the order of the universe......he created all .....but

because some natural laws of creation and secondary reasons...

disasters are a result of divergent weather patterns colliding....

earthquakes are result of earths faults and plate structure shifting

Tornadoes are caused by unstable atmospheric conditions with warm moist air

tsumami caused by an underwater earthquake

THE QUESTION IS EVERY DISASTER A PUNISHMENT FROM GOD.....

why does he allow them.....Why did he allow the tsunami in Asia......Why hurricane katrina, irma harvey.....the earthquakes that fell on my friends in Haiti and neighbors in Mexico..

Is it a judgement of God on good loving Christian people.....Or a consequence of a fallen world .....That God allows and even uses and turns the calamity for His purposes..

The same way that God allows evil people to commit evil acts God allows the earth to reflect the consequences of the fall......

In hope of Total redemption and salvation...

Calamaties should rouse us to attention....

Their folklore believed that they were sinners and getting what they deserved.....

Jesus went to the important issue......we should all receive salvation and repent so we can be ready when death comes.......notice he didn’t bite when they said they were being punished or judged....

Events like this should humble us....remind us of our mortality and that we are facing eternity...

Churches are usually filled after disasters as people realize how fragile life is and how it can be taken away in an instant......

It gets people to reassess their priorities…hopefully many are coming to Christ....

It is a good time to check in with friends and loved ones and bring up a conversation....

Like I love all my family so much and want all to be in heaven together.....

IS THE EARTH UP TO SOMETHING?

There are always warning signs.....He informed Abram about the destruction to come..

He made sure Noah was warned....Noah warned..

He warned the israelites of the pestilence....

Jesus said we should read the signs....these disasters are like birth pains...

We should pray for USA To awaken the USA from its moral decay...spiritual descent...degradation of its culture, idolatry and immorality.

To turn from apathy and return to the call of being light to the world..

As in the days of Noah....The earth was corrupt in God’s sight

Jesus…they were living their lives of carnal pleasures.... with not one thought of God or eternity, until the flood came and destroyed them all..

The depravity and ungodly lifestyles of the world so grieved God that he regretted He made man...

To get somewhat of an understanding of what the world was like watch the new shows and hollywood...

Jesus said the the world would be much the same before He returns to set up His earthy kingdom...

He warned to be ready…
