Moses objection is kind of silly because He was trained in the house of Pharaoh and lived there as a son. He was probably able to do this task already.
In ancient times, to know someone’s name was to know them deeply. It usually said something about who they were on the inside. God revealing His divine name is a HUGE deal in ancient thought. This is incredibly personal.
Moses’ staff is a symbol of God’s power and presence with Moses. Moses doesn’t wield it, but uses it as instructed by His LORD.
