Blessed Indeed

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 *just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless before Him in love; 5 *He predestined us to adoption as sons to Himself through Jesus Christ according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 *to the praise of the glory of His grace which He graciously bestowed on us in the Beloved.

7 *In Him we have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace, 8 which He lavished on us in all wisdom and insight, 9 *making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Himself, 10 *as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Christ, which are in heaven and on earth.

11 *In Him also we have received an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His own will, 12 *that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, should live for the praise of His glory.

Redemption and forgiveness is LAVISHED upon us.

God purposed this in Himself.

It is in and through Jesus Christ how we all are blessed.

Paul goes on to intercede for the Ephesian believers to have wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus.

He speaks of Jesus being raised from the dead and seated far above all principalities, powers, might and dominion and every name that is named.

This would include our physical realm and the spiritual realm, which have all been put in subjection to Him.

He speaks of how

Paul then speaks of Jesus Christ brought us near to the presence of God reserved only for the Israeli.

Jesus has abolished the divide.

Any human now has free access to the Father… Especially us because we are no longer strangers and foreigners, but are fellow citizens with the saints.

We are members of the household of God.

This is the access to the Father that we all have.

We are no longer strangers and foreigners, but are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.

We with all those who came before and will come after are being built into a dwelling place for God through the Spirit founded upon Jesus Christ Himself, the chief cornerstone.

What does it all mean?

A lot of us come in here tired from working a full day.

We’ve given most away to our task masters of the world.

We come with nothing more of ourselves to give… And this IS the perfect way to come here and serve.

Because we can be fitted with HIS power, and to know the love of Christ.

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 *from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 *that He would give you, according to the riches of His glory, power to be strengthened by His Spirit in the inner man, 17 *and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 *may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, 19 *and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

When we think of coming to serve… Let’s be ready.

Let us be praying for each other, that is building each other up together.

This team here, as it fits into Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale… Calvary Chapels worldwide… And the entire Body of Christ.

Let us each pray that we would have that supernatural power that comes from God’s Holy Spirit fitted in our inner being.

And to understand how the love of Christ surpasses knowledge… Consider this podium… 3 dimensions...

In other words, this power really is not limited in our reality.
