I) Intro

A man in the mirror -
I'm starting with the man in the mirror I'm asking him to change his ways And no message could have been any clearer If you wanna make the world a better place Take a look at yourself and then make a change
(NKJV)
17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

II) Work out (V. 12)

a. Salvation with Fear
b. Salvation with trembling
Because of:
Temptation and trials
Not to disappoint the Lord
We face judgment —
(NKJV)
28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

III) Works in (V. 13)

a. God works in us as His children
b. We need to look in the mirror so that we can strive to be Christlike.
c. The world will never be a better place unless we strive for it. —
(NKJV)
6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
d. God works in us for the GOOD!—
(NKJV)
13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
e. How AWESOME God’s great truth is HE ACTUALLY works through us!—
(NKJV)
26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

IV) Work At (V. 14 - 15)

a. Being happy about service to fellow man
b. NO murmuring and grumbling
This is a sin
Not in Church
Not in yourselves
Be grateful for being allowed to help
c. The person who murmurs and grumbles is not working at his own salvation.—
(NKJV)
24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient,
d. Being pure - (V. 15)
Closing
we all need to look in the mirror and ask ourselves are we gonna make a change today? Or will we keep on keeping on. The world was ment to change, and the world can, one person at a time.
