“Boundaries”

Key Verse: “Thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass.”

Job 14:5 KJV

I.       Boundaries are set by

          A.      God (Acts 17:26)

B.                The word of God (Joshua 14:6)

C.               The fathers (Proverbs 22:28)

D.               The level of our gift (Luke 16:12)

E.                People’s response to us (2 Corinthians 7:2)

F.                Our level of faith (Matthew 9:29)

G.               Our measure of rule (2 Corinthians 10:2-16)

II.      Stepping across boundaries

A.               Trespass – to cross a boundary illegally

B.                Covet – to lust for what God has not place within your boundaries

III.     When we stay within our set boundaries we can expect

A.               To hear from God (I Samuel 3:9-10)

B.                To stay free from bondage (Jude 1:6)

C.               Our sphere of rulership to be enlarged (Matthew 25:21)

IV.            How do we know if we are in our measure of rule?

A.               Peace in our heart

B.                Peace in our home

C.               Peace in the church

D.               Oceans and rivers have boundaries.  When we get outside of our boundaries, we do not bring peace but destruction.
