Before getting started with our day, most of us turn to the news to check the weather forecast. Depending on the season, some days are cold, some are fair, and then other are extremely hot. So it is, in our Christian walk! As we enter into different trials along our paths, some trials that we suffer through become extremely hot, but God lets us know that even as the trial gets hot, “the Fire Won’t Fry our Faith.” The theme that we’ll discuss today is “The Fire Won’t Fry Our Faith.”

The moment I mentioned the word ‘fry’, I know I probably already lost half of you. You’ve probably started thinking about that fried chicken you have awaiting you at home, so I will not be long.
The book of Daniel deals with the times of the Jewish exiles from Jerusalem into Babylon, initially, under the rule of Nebuchadnezzar. This had taken place approximately sixth century B.C., after King Zedekiah attempted to secretly escape from Nebuchadnezzar, but was caught and conquered. Among the first group to be exiled from Jerusalem into Babylonian captivity were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. There names soon would be changed to Belteshazzar, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
