A look at those who DID receive Jesus when He came the first time
 
I.
Are we making room for Christ in our lives?
A.        There was no room for Jesus in the inn.
B.
Jesus was welcome in the cattle stall.
C.
Will we make room for Jesus in our lives today?
II.
Do we believe and obey God’s voice like the shepherds?
(Luke 2:8-29)
A.        The shepherd believed and obeyed the report to go find the baby Jesus.
B.        Because they believed and obeyed God’s voice, they experienced the joy and blessing of God’s promise.
C.        Hebrews 4:7  /“Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”/
D.        Will we believe and obey God’s voice today?
III.
Are we faithful in serving the Lord like Anna? (Luke 2:36-38)
            A.
Anna served God with fastings and prayers night and day
            B.
Anna had been faithful for many years (84 years old)
C.        Anna was allowed to see the Lord’s promise
D.        Will we serve the Lord faithfully today?

Are we seeking the Lord like the wise men? (Matthew 2:1-12)
