A Fresh Outpouring

Pastor Keith Hassell

Foundation Scripture:   Acts 2:14-21

I.       God is bringing a fresh outpouring of His Spirit so that we might accomplish what he has called us to do

          A.      Our mission is to win souls and make disciples.

          B.      Our vision is souls and cells.

          C.      We cannot accomplish it in our own power

1.       Zechariah 4:6  “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord.”

          D.      We need to have the outpouring of the Holy Spirit

                   1.       The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

                   2.       A fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit (leaky vessels)

II.      God is pouring out a fresh outpouring of the prophetic

          A.      Acts 2:17-18:  Prophecy, visions, and dreams

B.      Word in prayer and fasting (January 16-18):  “There is being released in the house a fresh outpouring of the prophetic.  My sons and daughters will begin to prophesy the word of the Lord as never before.  I will give them dreams that will warn them of coming disasters and troubles.  I will give them visions of what I am about to release on the earth and in their midst.  They will not be ignorant of My plans, says the Lord, for I will reveal My heart to them and show them by My Spirit.”

III.    God is pouring out a fresh outpouring of intercession

A.      Word in prayer and fasting (January 16-18):  “There is coming a fresh outpouring of intercession upon this house and upon My people whereby they will hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying and they shall take what has been conceived in them in the secret place and they shall labor and travail in prayer until My will has been fulfilled in the earth.”

IV.     God is pouring out a fresh outpouring of the apostolic

A.      Word in prayer and fasting (January 16-18):  This is a beginning of a new season for a release of an apostolic anointing upon the house that will enable us to go where we have not gone before in the spirit and in the natural.

B.      What is the apostolic?  It is operating under that understanding that we are sent forth to do the work of the Lord.

          1.       No more majoring on minors

C.      Word in prayer and fasting (January 16-18):  “I am calling My people to put away old wineskins in order to receive a new wine that will be released by a new order in My Body.  There will be a shift in the role and function of leaders as I get My Church ready to be released into all of the earth.”

          1.       The early church was not pastoral, it was apostolic

V.      God is pouring out a fresh outpouring to fulfill His command

A.      Word in prayer and fasting (January 16-18):  “There is a new demand coming upon the body of Christ.  Men of God have had to beg My people to do the work I have called them to do.  No longer will they beg.  I will no longer allow My people to ignore My servants while they pretend to follow Me.  I am putting an authority in the voice of My leaders whereby My people will know that it is not man who has given them their duty and command, but God.  Leaders will begin to command My people to do the work that I have called them to do.  This ministry is of Me and people will be held accountable to Me.  If they refuse, they will know that they have not refused man but the Lord who has purchased and called them.  If they do it willingly then they shall have a reward.  If they do it begrudgingly, then they will complete their stewardship but shall have no reward.  My people will no longer sit in judgment over another man’s servant or question another man’s work.  Each will have his or her own work and will seek to be pleasing to the One who called him or her.  I am the Lord and I have given to each according to My good pleasure.  To Me alone they will rise or fall.  To Me alone they will give account in that final day.”

B.      On the Day of Pentecost, people who were hardened to Jesus and joined in to crucify Him were now cut to the heart and became willing to obey the Lord and do His will

VI.     Invitation

          A.      We must do what Christ has commanded us to do

          B.      We must do it through His power

          C.      We must receive a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit for

                   1.       Prophecy

                   2.       Intercession

                   3.       Apostolic
