A GREAT WORK

TEXT: Ephesians 2:10

 

INTRODUCTION:  Potter, Carver, and Painter

I.                   THE WORK: “We are His workmanship, created”

A.    Saving man – God did as in the beginning – created out of nothing.

B.     Paul in says  (Ro 7:18) that there is nothing good in his humanity.

C.     2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

II.                THE WORKER:  “His Workmanship”

A.    The worker is God.

1a. He is like an artist He selects His own material and makes His own plans.

2b. He asks’s no council.

3c. He speaks and it is done.

4d. None other can stop Him.

III.             THE WORKMANSHIP: “We Are

a.       In the creation you can see the face of the creator.

A.    A Christian is a monument of God’s mercifulness, love, and patience.

B.     Are we a blessing to God who created us in His image and after His Son?

C.    We are created unto good works.

Remember what God has started He will finish.   (Phil 1:6 and Ro 8:29)

IV.             THE WORKSHOP:  “Created in Christ Jesus”

A: Made after the Divine pattern.

B. If you are in Christ you will stay in the workshop.    (1 Cor. 3:9)

IN CLOSING: Come be made a new creature.
