I) Introduction

1. Spiritual Eyes

2. We see with our eyes yet are still blind.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

James 3:17

II) What is the hope of His calling?

1. Doubts and fears

a. Even if it were not true, just the belief in Christ has given a better life than not.

2. Hope of being under God’s protection.

3.Hopes the Lord is our shepherd

4. Hopes that goodness and mercy follow us all our days.

5. Hope that after death we are justified and given eternal life.

6. We have hope for a new body.

III) What is the riches of His glory?

1. (NKJV)

9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

1. Eternal Life

2. Eternal knowledge

3. The Holy Spirit

4. A quiet Spirit

IV) What is the greatness of His power?

To give us Glory and power

(NKJV)

4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

2. The power to raise Christ from the dead.

3. The power to place Christ at His right hand.

4. The power to exalt Christ above all

5. The Power to forgive our sins

6. The power to love us, even when we do wrong to Him!

IV) Closing

If God will open the eyes of our hearts, and remove our blinders we will have a whole new way at looking at the Lord and what He does for us. Let’s pray that God will indeed remove our blinders!
