Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.

Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.
The ideas in are about the opportunity and the obligation of prayer
1 - Opportunity - we are given the joy of prayer to come before God with all of our stuff - our needs, desires, wants, etc, to pray for our spouse, and WITH our spouse, but also for everyone.
Paul lists everyone as a general Church rule of prayer, but then to intercede for them means to stand in the gap for them - take others needs to God, not just our own.
Then he goes further to say that we are to pray for
The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life he was born into King David’s family line,

BECAUSE
This is what pleases God our Saviour. - to pray for everyone - including those who have the opportunity and potential influence to cause harm to christians.
what godliness and holiness mean
Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory.
This letter is from Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I have been sent to proclaim faith to those God has chosen and to teach them to know the truth that shows them how to live godly lives.
