Trust God - the Preamble

Psalm 146:
Psalm 146:1–2 HCSB
Hallelujah! My soul, praise the Lord. I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing to my God as long as I live.
Hallelujah! - Praise Yahweh. It is an exclamation that stands alone. It is not a command but a shout of Praise to God.

Praise God with all your being.

Nephish - soul, the entirety of a persons being, all they are.
How?
All my life - through thick and thin. Not a statement of quantity but quality
As long as I live - nothing will distract me. Again Quality is in mind here.

Inseparable Tie Between Praising God and Trusting God.

Don’t Trust in Mankind

Persons may have financial, religious, or political power, but it is fleeting and will ultimately be undone.
Psalm 146:3–4 HCSB
Do not trust in nobles, in man, who cannot save. When his breath leaves him, he returns to the ground; on that day his plans die.
Psalm 146:3-4
In what or whom are you ultimately trusting? Evidence is worry, insecurity, anxiety, fear, desperation.
Cultivate a deep and abiding Trust in God....how? Start by forcing yourself to Praise Him. Look for ways that God is demonstrating His love and care in your life. Focus on what you have not what you don’t have.
“Count Your Blessings…name them one by one...”
Anything other than God will fail.

Trust In God

Psalm 146:5 HCSB
Happy is the one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God,
Psalm 146:5
Happy - “Ahsh-ray” blessed. Inner contentment that is deeply rooted in Who God is and What God is doing. It is a settled contentment despite circumstances.

Why Trust God?

Psalm 146:6–9 HCSB
the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them. He remains faithful forever, executing justice for the exploited and giving food to the hungry. The Lord frees prisoners. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord raises up those who are oppressed. The Lord loves the righteous. The Lord protects foreigners and helps the fatherless and the widow, but He frustrates the ways of the wicked.
He is the Great Creator - it is He who calls the shots!
He is Faithful - idea of Loyal. He has our backs!
He is the Bondage Breaker - He will move heaven and earth to deliver us from bondage.
He is the Giver of Hope
He is our Protector
His Sovereign Ruling of the Universe will never end! Mankind may have a presidency or a Monarchy that lasts a long time but it will always end .... always! Not so with God.
Psalm 146:10 HCSB
The Lord reigns forever; Zion, your God reigns for all generations. Hallelujah!

Trust God!

Proverbs 3:5–6 HCSB
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.
Know God.
Know His Word…His Promises.
Submit to the Holy Spirit…constantly!
Exchange your myopic world & life view for God’s!
Understand that troubles will come… Trust God through them.
