Men involved in Spiritual Ministry

— Often we see a lot of women serving God. Ladies tend to have this sweet heart to serving and loving our Lord. Yet how important to remember, that God has not called women to lead, rather that He crated Man, as the head of the household and leader at church.
Men, we are called to be involved in all kinds of spiritual service, prayer being one of the most important callings in our lives. To be men of prayer.
1 Timothy 2:1 NKJV
1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
1 Timothy 2:2 NKJV
for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
Check this out. — Paul says to Timothy, I exhort you, I urge you. this is important Tim…

First and foremost, we are to be a people who pray. The words “supplications,” “intercessions,” and “giving of thanks” refer to the various forms of prayer that we are to offer for all men.

NKJV: Supplications:

The word “supplications” is deēsis (δεησις), a word which gives prominence to personal need. It refers to prayer for one’s personal needs. Here, the word refers to petitions having to do with one’s personal needs as they are related to the government under which he lives

Prayers:
Intercessions:

“Intercessions” is enteuxis (ἐντευξις). The verbal form means “to fall in with a person, to draw near so as to converse familiarly.

approach to God in free and familiar prayer.

that is what the Holy Spirit does for us:

used in Romans 8:26, and translated “maketh intercession,” has the idea of “to intervene, interfere.” It is not that the Holy Spirit pleads in our behalf, but that He throws Himself into our case, takes part in it.

That is what Jesus is constantly doing for us:

In Hebrews 7:25, it is not that our Lord is ever interceding for us, but that He is always meeting us at every point in our lives and intervening in all our affairs for our benefit (Vincent).

In , it is not that our Lord is ever interceding for us, but that He is always meeting us at every point in our lives and intervening in all our affairs for our benefit (Vincent).

and give thanks to God for them. Who are these people of the first group? Believers, your brother and sisters around us.
In our present passage, the idea of interposition is prominent. We are as Christians to make prayers a factor in our relations to our secular rulers.
In our present passage, the idea of interposition is prominent. We are as Christians to make prayers a factor in our relations to our secular rulers.
— We are as Christians to make prayers, not only for those who fellowship with us, but also, in the same way for our secular rulers.

2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.

We are called to make supplications, intercession , and give thanks for those in power over us as well.
This is where things get dicy. Because of political affiliation, or where we stand politically, we tend to set our opinions higher than the word of God.
— Notice that Paul didn’t say, Timmy, get socially involved when you see things in your government with which you do not agree…
Is it wrong to do that? Not necessarily, after all we do have “elected officials”. But more important is to remember that We have a great pull on the high places.
We have a direct connection, an ability to Speak and make our request be known to the highest office of all… Our Heavenly Father.
Our prayer should be that we may get to live

peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.

That He may do that. — There will be no peace on earth, until the prince of peace, sits at the throne of men’s hearts.
So what we are praying for, God to do whatever it takes that He may to bring people to salvation.

3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.

— When we do that, we are praying according to God’s will..
1 John 5:14–15 NLT
14 And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. 15 And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
— No Peace, till Men have peace with God.

5 For,

There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. 6 He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time. 7 And I have been chosen as a preacher and apostle to teach the Gentiles this message about faith and truth. I’m not exaggerating—just telling the truth.

— Often, we can mis diagnose, and confuse a symptom with the real problem.
EX>> My whole body aches. Any where I touch, it hurts… Sir, you have a broken finger.
We can do that Spiritually, misdiagnose a situation. We can see someone’s problem, addiction, circumstances and we can take steps to rectify such situation.
But soon, you will realize that, perhaps the Addiction was not the problem. That Money is not the solution. What they needed was to make peace with God, have peace with God. To be Born again.
It is paramount that we are not shy to tackle things head on. —When people come to find help from us, first and foremost, deal with the eternal need, and then move to the physical need.
For if we meet first the physical need before the Eternal need, they may leave with a bandaid, covering a bullet whole. It will not last.
What people need above all else, the only lasting thing you can give your family, your friends, your neighbors, is the peace that comes from being right with God. From having Peace with God.
Men, we are called to be prayer warriors. Often we say, but I can’t. “ain’t no body has time for that. I don’t have time to get on my knees and spend a lot of time that way… I’m too old, my legs hurt, etc.”.

8 In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.

Now Notice that Paul doesn’t say, “I want men to clench fists and sign petitions.” He says, “I want men to lift hands and pray.”
Paul doesn’t say, “I want men to clench fists and sign petitions.” He says, “I want men to lift hands and pray.”
I find it interesting that when the Bible talks about prayer, we see men raising their hands, lying prostrate on their faces, lifting up their eyes, and standing.
What we never see throughout Scripture concerning prayer is someone folding his hands and closing his eyes. — Yet that is precisely how we teach our kids to pray! I know why we do this. All parents do. Closed eyes and folded hands keep kids out of trouble!
But now that we are adults, let’s realize that there’s great liberty in prayer.— I would encourage you to explore different postures of prayer—all the while remembering that it’s not the position of the body that matters, but the position of the heart.

9 And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes. 10 For women who claim to be devoted to God should make themselves attractive by the good things they do.

1 Timothy 2:9 NKJV

a. In like manner also: The word also refers back to the statement that the men pray everywhere in 1 Timothy 2:8. Paul thought the principle of 1 Timothy 2:8 should apply in various congregations, and so should the principle in 1 Timothy 2:9.

Pau writes: “ I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves”
—This is how Christian women are supposed to dress, especially at their Christian meetings.
— The question should be: “Is it appropriate for the occasion? Is it over-dressed or under-dressed? Is it going to call inappropriate attention to myself?”
Paul even pays attention to the adornments: “by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes.”
1 Timothy 2. Women Should Emphasize Spiritual Preparation and Beauty More than Physical Preparation and Beauty (9–10)

How you dress reflects your heart. If a man dresses in a casual manner, it says something about his attitude. Likewise, if a woman dresses in an immodest manner, it says something about her heart.

But … with good works: The most important adornment is good works.
— If a woman is dressed in modesty and with good works, she is perfectly dressed.
Good works make a woman more beautiful than good jewelry.

11 Women should learn quietly and submissively. 12 I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly. 13

In the Book of Titus, Paul instructs older women to teach younger women how to walk in practical godliness. However, they are not to teach men in matters of doctrine or theology, but are to learn in silence. You might think this sounds terribly chauvinistic. But Paul goes on to give his reason.…

13 For God made Adam first, and afterward he made Eve. 14 And it was not Adam who was deceived by Satan. The woman was deceived, and sin was the result.

sdf
“Eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and your eyes will be opened. You’ll be like God,” Satan promised Eve (see ). Thus, Eve was deceived not by a desire to do something illicit, but by a desire to be godly.
I firmly believe women have an innate desire to be spiritual. They want to extract all they can from Scripture. They want to know what it really means to worship. They want their eyes to be opened, to know how to be lovers of God. Satan took advantage of this, and the woman was thereby deceived. Therefore, it is men who are to instruct the church in doctrine.
What are the women to do?
Paul goes on.…

15 But women will be saved through childbearing, assuming they continue to live in faith, love, holiness, and modesty.

The Greek word sozo, or “saved,” meaning “the full orb of God’s blessing”—that women will be “saved in childbearing”
—does not refer only to the fact that they won’t die bearing children, but that they will experience the full orb of God’s blessing in raising children.

Although there are exceptions, although there are women who are uniquely called to separate themselves for service to the Lord, the rule of thumb for the church is that women are to pour themselves into their kids, for there they will find their greatest blessing.

If a woman must work, she should carefully make her job selection in such a way that her job does not in any way pull her emotions or her energy away from her family.
You see, Moms, by the time people come to me as a pastor, they’ve usually been beaten up by life.
Moms, on the other hand, have the opportunity to love and shape fresh, new lives that haven’t been messed up by the world. This is not a popular position.
But look at our culture. We’re paying the price for turning away from these very simple and basic premises. Everyone is trying to figure out why our kids have gone so awry. But God has already told us: Men should lead the church. Women should lead the kids.
So, too, as the bride of Christ, where will I also be saved? Where will I most fully experience God’s blessing? In child-bearing. There is no joy like that of seeing someone born again.
That’s why Jesus said when one sinner comes into the kingdom, there’s a party in heaven ().
Has it been a while since you shared the Lord with someone? If you haven’t led someone to Jesus, you’re missing out, for all of us will discover that the full orb of salvation is, indeed, found in seeing other folks born again.
