We have nothing of ourselves to promote - Jesus won the victory!

We share with others the knowledge of Jesus and His victory over sin (clearly & plainly - v. 17)

Jesus is the One who conquers hearts

The more we are captivated by Christ, the more we spread Christ!

To God

“Thanks be to God” = Rejoice in God, Give credit to God; It is God’s glory that motivates us! ()

Our focus is pleasing God, not man.

We can only please God b/c of Jesus

We live Coram Deo!! (leads us last point - everywhere)

Everywhere (wherever, whoever)

We are salt and light wherever we go.

We scatter the seed everywhere, and let God give increase

“Death to Death” / “Life to Life” - the way we view Christ, Some view Him as dead, and it leads to their death.

Others recognize He is alive and the Source of life, and it leads to life.

Whatever the results of preaching the gospel, God is pleased!!

However one responds to the aroma of Christ on the cross, God is still pleased with His Son’s sacrifice!!

Paul alluding to Moses in v. 16b?

The advance of the gospel is irresistible - like a Roman Triumph.

Nothing can stop it!!

knowledge of God reflected in face of Christ -

If we preach Christ crucified, we cannot expect to be crowned with glory by those who crucified Jesus.
