Just because something feels good doesn’t mean it’s right
Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”
Luke 10:38-4
Mary knew that her soul was more important then the details unlike Martha.
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
We ask the wrong question.

We shouldn’t be asking how are you? We should be asking how is you soul.
Story about using your own toilet rather than a public one.
Being at home is proven to be psychically good for you.
If your body needs to be home then think about how much more your soul needs to be home
then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.
The soul is an emanation (which means originates from a source) of God
The soul is a part of God which he BREATHED into us. Our soul literally comes from God.
This explains why it is so important for us to be in relationship with God.
The soul is not simply the mind.
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
Friends, this world is not your home, so don’t make yourselves cozy in it. Don’t indulge your ego at the expense of your soul.
Notice in the book of Mark it clearly states that your soul and your mind are different. The soul is an important piece to your life.
