Separate Yourself

Separate yourself to get right with God. (Laundry whites and colors) vv.1-3.
Holy is set apart from evil and wicked.
We are to be different from our community.
We are to reflect the Light of God for all to see the Holy God we serve.
In separating ourselves we confess our sins.
They confessed their sins.
They also confessed the iniquities of their fathers.
We must want to remove ourselves from our shame and guilt.
Sin is our guilt and shame in response to breaking God’s law.
Our iniquity is our actual living lawless in God’s eyes knowingly rebellion and unknowingly.

Worship God and Study His Word (vv.3-6)

Exalt God is to worship and bless his name.
We Should exalt God for being Creator.
Exalt God for creating all living things.
God is exalted for all living beings worship him.

Celebrate God’s Victories In Your Life

7 “You are the LORD God, who chose Abram and brought him from Ur of the Chaldeans and renamed him Abraham. 8 When he had proved himself faithful, you made a covenant with him to give him and his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Girgashites. And you have done what you promised, for you are always true to your word.

Nehemiah 9:7–8 NLT

Israel celebrates their victory through God choosing them.
Lord you choses Abram before he was Abraham.
The Lord God gave the name Abraham to Abram.
He went from exalted Father (Abram).
To Abraham “Father of Many”
They recall God making them great in calling Abram out of Ur of Chaldees.
We too must see how we have been called out of Egypt (bondage of sin) to live for God in his promise (Eternal lIfe in Jesus Christ).
God has chose us to be redeemed by Christ.
God’s power in your life should be celebrated.
Lord chose Israel, the descendants of Abram, and made a great covenant.
Abraham is an example to us for God found him faithful. ()
Abraham was faithful in following God. (see )
Abraham feared God in willing to sacrifice his son ()
Celebrate God’s Covenant with his people (see )
All covenants are made with blood.
God made a new covenant with us by the blood of Jesus.

Be Faithful

Just as Abraham was called to be faithful we too in following God.
As God has saved us we need to follow the road to recovery in celebrating the victories we have through Christ.
