In Need of A Deliverance – Mark 5:15-20

 

Have you ever found yourself in a life situation where things were totally out of your control?

We always like to believe that we can solve any problem.

If you keep on living we can find ourselves in situations where we recognize more and more than we need God more now than we ever have before.

You can be beautiful today and ugly tomorrow.

You can be fine today and awful tomorrow.

Have you ever noticed these make over stories about how someone looks.

They weighed 300 hundred pounds now they are 150.

They never got their nails or hair done and now with the help of a few professional folk they can make you look like a model.

Before and After stages of our lives.

Never judge a book by its cover.

While we worry about our outside appearances only God can change our hearts.

God has called us for purpose.

In spite of the challenges we face, God is using our lives as a testimony to show his glory and his great power.

Often we read about miracles in the bible like:

 

·        How Jesus raised the dead physically, but spiritually he was revealing that he is the Resurrection and the Life.

·        Often we have heard how he opened the blind eyes and yes physically a man could see, but spiritually he was provided us with vision and revealing that Jesus is the way and the Light of the World.

·        Often we read about how he made the lame to walk and spiritually he was indicating that he could also guide our steps and set our feet on the right paths.

He would could then commission us to go and preach tell the world about who he really is.

·        Often we read about how he made those who could not talk to talk, but spiritually he was saying that we aught to bring him the sacrifice of praise from our lips.

So that when praise goes up, blessing would come back down and that when we asked anything in his name that the father in heaven would grant us our desires.

The greatest testimony~/miracle is when he changed my life.

I wonder if you took a serious look at your life what would it reveal.

Challenges, Frustrations, Successes, dreams and goals only come to shape us to become a better witness.

There is nothing that has not happen in my life that God allowed where he did not want to show his glory.

Without God I can do nothing and without him I would fail.

That’s why today in him I live and in him I move and in him I exist.

Deliverance means to set free, to be rescued

 

That whom the son sets free is free indeed.

Now my text.

A Man was alive living in a dead place.

Removed from Family, Friends and he is known as the demon possessed man.

No one could control him.

He was in the tombs cutting himself.

People know you by your actions~/habits.

Habits are  a behaviors pattern that is frequently repeated, addiction.

Habitable, people got used to this man being this why.

If you do something long enough whether good or bad people will identify you with what you do.

Help is on the way.

You know deep down inside that what people have said about you that is not the real you.

You have a battle going on in your mind and if I can get my mind out, I can get of this situation.

Jesus can break any habit, change any circumstance, he can make you over.

The things you used to do, you really don’t have to do anymore.

Place you use to go, you really don’t have to go there no more.

People you used to run with, you really don’t have to run with anymore.

Jesus goes through a storm to get to this one man.

When I see you my brother or my sister- I see a person that God can still use.

I see someone who is a child of God.

I am so glad that God is here to give you a second chance.

“And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience” (Ephesians 1:1-2).

I was seeking deep in sin sinking to rise no more, but the master of the see heard my despairing cry, now safe am I. Love lifted me, Love lifted me, when nothing else could love lifted me.
