In This House Pt.5
In the series “In This House…” we look at the culture of theBRIDGE Church and what it means to actively partner with God as we contribute to His House.
Some of us have gone to church for years and never understood the inner culture of that church directly from the heart of the Pastor as God has given it to him.

Some of us have gone to church for years and never understood the inner culture of that church directly from the heart of the Pastor as God has given it to him.
We want you to know what’s important in this house-
This week we have the trifecta of life- In This House we do Love- Joy- Freedom
The best part is one leads to another and because of love and joy you automatically have freedom!
A New Commandment
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Notes Human worth-
We have a saying around here: We exist to Love Authentically, Accept wholeheartedly, and Teach God’s Word
Authentically= not false or copied; genuine;
2.having an origin supported by unquestionable evidence; authenticated; verified:
What does that look like in the real world- Unconditional love expects nothing in return- yet we are wired to expect something in return-
IF we are to be Jesus disciples- testing our discipleship---we have to love with expecting nothing in return-
That is how he could love the unloveable- and hang around sinners,
Jesus saw people from Gods perspective-
Live in the glory, in his presence,
Mike Bickle: IHOP--
All of GOd’s judgement is aimed at whatever interferes with love!
everything comes from GOd’s love for his people-
If we were judged for what we have done to each other with just our words...
Imagine that someone who needs love from you and then except nothing in return.
Painful!!
It is painful but look when the pain is over comes joy-
It is painful but look when the pain is over comes joy-
It is painful but look when the pain is over comes joy-
Joy is attainable because its a fruit of the spirit-
What is Paul’s opinion:
Galatians 2:1-4
The secret to a joyful sharing of our lives together begins with love.
It starts with encouragement, comfort, participation, affection and sympathy (vs.1 says).
Do you see what Paul is doing here?
He is piling up 5 different synonyms for love, to make the point that our joyful fellowship begins with true love from God Himself.
Did you see where the encouragement is? It’s “in Christ.”
Did you see where the participation is? It’s “in the Spirit.”
We’re not talking about human love here.
We’re talking about the kind of love that comes from God Himself.
So if you want to find joy in your relationships, you must first of all… Receive Gods love
Love is that outgoing, self-giving kind of action, not necessarily emotion, that characterized God himself when he loved the world so much that he gave his only Son (Jn 3:16)
When love is in operation joy follows- easier to do the right thing- you are free- clear conscience-
Makes life easier- just love people, be full of joy, and walk in the freedom purchased for us by Jesus-
Experiencing Joy -
Joy was also the feeling of the church at Antioch when its members heard the Jerusalem Council’s decision that they did not have to be circumcised and keep the Law (Acts 15:31)
