( Verses 1 - 5 ) God should be Celebrated.
David gather thirty thousand chosen men.
They moved the Ark of God to the house of Abinadab.
David and all the house of Israel celebrated before the Lord.

The anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah because of his error.

Introduction
Is God worthy of celebration?
Of course all of you know the answer to this question.
But just may be this question is more complicated than you think.
Do we think of the work it takes to celebrate something.
A birthday party, an anniversary.
A quincerera or maybe an event at church.
When one thinks of celebrating they initially forget the preparations necessary to make it happen.
The food, decorations, the invitations, all of this takes work and time but it has to be done.
We all can remember now that when thinking and planning a celebration we must think through the work behind it.
Now to the next deeper question.
How much do we value what we celebrate?
We can see the importance one places in what they celebrate by the amount of time spent on planning.
The attention to detail.
The time spent on wording and designs.
One can easily see the importance and value through the detail and prep time taken when looking at the presentation of what they are celebrating.
Is God worth celebrating?
Everyone here would say yes!
There is no higher reason, no one greater to celebrate than God.
We celebrate and congregate as God's people because of God and for God.
Have we forgotten how celebratory we should be when considering that God is worthy and that God is here amongst His people?
Have we forgotten that God is here in a special way amongst His people.
His bride?
We should be continually offer up praises.
15 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.

Some of us here may look strangely at people dancing before the Lord in worship when this was common in biblical culture.

Biblically one is closer when praising God in song, dance and instruments.
With shouts and outward expressions of zeal!
This is biblical.
The problem does not start there.
It starts when one forgets to be careful with their praise.
When one abandons what God has established and spoken clearly in scripture pertaining to His glory and why He is worthy to be praised.
Our time of praise must be full of passion and zeal.
Yet it should be done carefully.
How can one carefully praise and celebrate God with shouts and clashing cymbals?
How can zeal be met with being careful and reverential?
I do believe our text today answers this question.
We congregate every Sunday, not just because we have to out of obligation.
Friends, we should congregate as God's people because He is our God and we are His people!
Every week we should be in awe that we can call upon the name of Jesus.
And He hears us because we are His bride, His people.
At what point should we allow concern to hinder our expressions of joy before God? Can a conscious commitment to be careful before God run parallel with an outward, passionate expression that can almost become questionable?
It all depends on how worthy God is of our love and praise.
When one believes in who God is believes passionately and genuinely the result or the fruit of that passionate, genuine faith is thanksgiving.
God is worthy to be celebrated.
Genuinely, passionately corporately, and carefully.
