Introduction:

Psalm 62 - Trust in God's Salvation
Psalm 63 - Trust with Longing
These are the Two "Trust" Psalms in Book 2 of the Psalter.
They stand in compliment to the "Wisdom" gleaned from Psalms 49 & 50.
Psalm 49 reminded us to have wisdom over wealth in light of the fate of the wicked.
Psalm 50 reminded us to have wisdom over worship in sacrifice.
As we grow in godly wisdom, we learn to trust God more in times when the enemy oppresses, as well as times when we are in a spiritual desert and God's presence SEEMS to be distant at best, removed at worst.
Psalm 62 is structured in a symmetrical form, weaving the theme of "a Testimony of Trust" as the stitching between the Psalmist's (David) "Pessimistic Complaints".
The structure of Psalm 62 is as follows:

I. Soul Truth - Wait on God's Power & Mercy (Ps. 62:1-2, 11-12).

A. The ONLY Sure Source of Security for Trust (Ps. 62:1-2).
