David made the plans for the temple of God but it was his son Solomon who eventually built it. Before building the temple, they made sure that they have enough skilled workers to carry out the enormous and delicate task for the Lord.

Opening

The month of June was so filled with meaningful messages from the Lord
First, we prayed for Purpose(Evangelism, Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry)
Then we prayed for Revival (Only God can send revival, but we can be prepare & be ready for it)
On the day of my Ordination, we received fresh Anointing
And finally, we were instructed how the Lord’s Yoke is supposed to easy (Learn from Jesus)
Last Sunday we received from the Lord the Vision (Thrust) that He has apportioned for Agape
“To Glorify God by building communities that are spiritually healthy, morally upright, physically fit, mentally alert, emotionally happy and financially stable. To share His love to the unchurched, unloved, uninspired, unmotivated and specially to the believers of Jesus Christ.”
Keep in mind that without “Vision” people perish ( KJV)
And today, the Lord wants us to determine and understand what does it take to be part of this “divine Vision”

David Plans for the Temple (1 Chronicles 28:1-21)

David summoned all the officials of Israel
He announced that he had it in his heart to build a house as a place of rest for the ask of the covenant
He was chosen from among his family who belongs to the tribe of Judah to be king of Israel
But the Lord chose his son, Solomon to be the one to build the temple
And so David charge Solomon to acknowledge the God of his father, and serve Him with wholehearted devotion
Then David gave Solomon the plans for the temple that the Spirit had put in his mind
Willing & Skilled Person will help in building the temple
1 Chronicles 28:21 NIV
The divisions of the priests and Levites are ready for all the work on the temple of God, and every willing person skilled in any craft will help you in all the work. The officials and all the people will obey your every command.”

Preparation for Building the Temple (2 Chronicles 2:1-18)

Solomon enlisted 70,000 men as carriers, 80,000 as stonecutters and 3,600 as foremen over them
He sought the help of Hiram, king of Tyre to supply him the needed materials
He also asked Hiram to send him “skilled” workers that can work with his own “skilled” workers ()
2 Chronicles 2:7 NIV
“Send me, therefore, a man skilled to work in gold and silver, bronze and iron, and in purple, crimson and blue yarn, and experienced in the art of engraving, to work in Judah and Jerusalem with my skilled workers, whom my father David provided.
King Hiram sent Huram-Abi, a man of great “skill” to work with Solomon’s “skilled” workers ()
2 Chronicles 2:14 NIV
whose mother was from Dan and whose father was from Tyre. He is trained to work in gold and silver, bronze and iron, stone and wood, and with purple and blue and crimson yarn and fine linen. He is experienced in all kinds of engraving and can execute any design given to him. He will work with your skilled workers and with those of my lord, David your father.

Who among you really wants to be part of Agape’s Vision?
Skills and not Dedication will grow a Church
Build our people before we build our temple
Build your people, before you build your temple
In every success, there are seeds of failures
God does not respond to our grumbling, God responds to our faith

Who wants to be Equipped to fulfill the Lord’s Purposes?

"Nothing grows under a banyan tree." This South Indian proverb speaks of leadership styles. The banyan is a great tree. It spreads its branches, drops air-roots, develops secondary trunks and covers the land. A full grown banyan may cover more than an acre of land. Birds, animals, and humans find shelter under its shade. But nothing grows under its dense foliage, and when it dies, the ground beneath lies barren and scorched.
The banana tree is the opposite. Six months after it sprouts, small shoots appear around it. At twelve months a second circle of shoots appear beside the first ones, now six months old. At eighteen months the main trunk bears bananas which nourish birds, animals, and humans, and then it dies. But the first offspring are now full grown, and in six months they too bear fruit and die. The cycles continue unbroken as new sprouts emerge every six months, grow, give birth to more sprouts, bear fruit, and die.
Some leaders are like the banyan trees. They have great influence and their ministries are widely productive and beneficial. However, they do not prepare for the transitions which will allow for the emergence of other leaders. They only equip followers, not leaders.
To be like the “banana tree”, we shall launch our “School of Workers” to teach the “REAP” curriculum
