Introduction
Disciplining my boys.
Sometimes I spank or devise some other form of torture to teach them there is consequence for sin and disobedience.
Sometimes I sit with them and talk about the fact that they deserve death, that we all do, that what they just did was deserving of punishment…then I gently lead into a conversation about the Grace and Mercy of God and how he forgives.
And I then show them grace and mercy upon their repentance.
I have the ability, calling even, to train my boys; to discipline them.
Chiefly to teach them the Gospel message of Jesus.
Train them in the way they should go, Solomon said.
