THE GREATEST OXYMORON IS LUKE WARM CHRISTIAN

1. LUKEWARM CHRISTIANS CRAVE ACCEPTANCE FROM PEOPLE MORE THAN ACCEPTANCE FROM GOD.

2 Timothy 3:1–5 NIV84

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

2. LUKEWARM CHRISTIANS RARELY SHARE THEIR FAITH IN CHRIST.

“Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.

3. LUKEWARM CHRISTIANS RATIONALIZE SIN.

We rename or rebrand sin into something more acceptable

4. LUKEWARM CHRISTIANS THINK MORE ABOUT LIFE ON EARTH THAN ETERNITY IN HEAVEN.

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

5. LUKEWARM CHRISTIANS ONLY TURN TO GOD WHEN THEY NEED SOMETHING.

6. LUKEWARM CHRISTIANS THEY GIVE WHENEVER IT’S CONVENIENT

7. LUKEWARM CHRISTIANS THEY ARE NOT MUCH DIFFERENT FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD

HOW DID WE GET TO THAT POINT? LUKE WARM?

We Get Busy

We Don’t Focus on OUR Relationship with God

It’s Easy to Wake Up and Be a Luke Warm Christian

We Often Don’t Feel Like We Need God for Our Daily Provision

HOW DO WE MOVE FROM LUKE WARM TO ONFIRE?

Here is How You can Have a Relationship with Jesus

God loves you and wants a relationship with you. John 3:16

Your sin keeps you from having a relationship with Him. Rom 3:23; 6:23 James 4:17

Jesus Christ died and rose again so that your sins would be forgiven.

You must personally TRUST Jesus as your Savior

You invite him into your life as Savior and Lord

Allow God to take leadership in your life
