Romans 1:16–17 ESV
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
Romans 1:16

Faith and Obedience

Faith results in a life of ever increasing obedience in and love to Jesus Christ our Savior. We become willing to die to ourselves more and more and to take up our cross in following Jesus. Our faith is to continue after we believe in Jesus, our trust in Him proves that we have been made right (righteous) by Christ and faith moves us to greater and greater obedience.

Love

Faith continues a er our conversion, our trust in God proving that we have been reconciled to Him in Christ and moving us to greater and greater obedience.
Faith results in a life of ever-increas- ing obedience to our Maker, in our being willing to die unto ourselves more and more and to take up our cross in following Jesus ().
We are to have love for Jesus the same way we love any living person. Just because we can’t see Jesus doesn’t mean we can’t love and obey Him. Faith knows Jesus is alive and faith believes that Jesus died for the sins of His people. Jesus’ death is a free gift to all who believe in Him. Like any gift that is received by a person, that person (if the person really cares) will show gratitude. The person is grateful and the person will out of love for Jesus control themselves and care for others.

Trustworthy

Are you a trust-worthy person? As believers are saved by grace to be conformed to Christ’s image and Christ is supremely trustworthy, then evidence of Christian growth comes as we become more trustworthy. As we live by faith, let us seek to become more trustworthy siblings, friends, relatives, workers, and citizens.
As we live by faith, let us seek to become more trustworthy friends, relatives, workers, and citizens.
