Last Week: Parable of the Sower

- Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

-Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

- And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection

The Deceiver

•

- He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.

When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

- But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

•

- Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Deceives the Mind

•

-But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

•

- But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

•

- And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Distorts the Truth

•

- And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

- Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.

Divide the Church

•

- For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it

•

- Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Deliver the World

•

- Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

•

- Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air…

The Devil Deceives to Keep You in Sin….

- For the wages of sin is death;

- but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
