A. The body is one, but made up of many.
-One body - unity
-many members- diversity.
B. Many denominations, one body.
-many christian organizations, clubs, parachurches, and other christian groups, but there is ONE BODY
-It is the Gospel that unites us
-The spirit that baptizes us
-The one singular body that we belong to.
C. Just as the universal church is united by the GOspel
-the local church as an expression of the univeral church is united by the Gospel.
D. Verse 14…There is diversity in the body
-Makes an argument for those who might feel liek they dont belong to the body becuase of the diversity in the Body
-”But I am not an eye....I do not belong to the body”
-Response is…Verse 17
-Your function in the body never devalues your membership in the body

-We have no right to consider someoness less becuase their function is differnt.
-We hav eno right to tell someone we have no need of them because their function is different
