What Hinders Us From Happiness?
THEY DON’T HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
John 14:6 KJV 1900
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 10:10 KJV 1900
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
No matter how much you accumulate in life, one truly can’t be happy. There are been so many millionaires that expressed with all the fame and fortune, they realized that something was missing and what they needed was a relationship with God.
Colossians 2:8–10 KJV 1900
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
2) THEY ARE TRYING TO DO LIFE WITHOUT GOD

Thou wilt shew me the path of life:

In thy presence is fulness of joy;

At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

I always say that you can live in this life without God, but it is a whole lot easier when God is apart of your life
3 DISOBEDIENCE
Isaiah 1:18–19 KJV 1900
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Isaiah 1:19–20 KJV 1900
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, Ye shall be devoured with the sword: For the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
Isaiah 1:19–20 KJV 1900
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, Ye shall be devoured with the sword: For the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
Psalm 37:23 KJV 1900
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: And he delighteth in his way.
Psalm 37:
How can you be happy when you know your not doing what God called you to do. When you do what God called you to do, There is no searching for your purpose.
When you are disobedient to God, you will always suffer the consequences. This can affect every aspect of you life. We must remember that consequence are a result of our own decisions, actions or in action.
Consequences
Unfulfilled life
Sickness and disease
Loss
Frustration
Settling for less than God’s Best
4) Lack Of Faith
Hebrews 11:6 KJV 1900
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
WOMAN ISSUES OF BLOOD
Matthew 9:20–21 KJV 1900
20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: 21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
Matthew 9:20–22 KJV 1900
20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: 21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. 22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
Matthew 9:
TWO BLIND MEN
Matthew 9:27–30 KJV 1900
27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. 28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. 29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. 30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
Some things in life are not going to change until you make a faith move. Some things in life are not going to change until you begin to operate in faith. We have to learn to operate in faith and not fear. To many of us are living beneath our means, living un happy un fulfilled lives because we will not operate in faith, we will not trust God.
5 Our Mind I Stuck On The Wrong Things
Philippians 4:8 KJV 1900
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
What are you consuming your mind with. What are you allowing your mind to constantly think about?
Are you focused on your past? - lets us know that Satan is the accuser of the brethren. He loves to bring up our past and shortcomings, he loves to remind us of he sinful acts of our past and try to keep us in the bondage of condemnation.
Are you focused on what you see? - The enemy loves to get your mind centered on what you see. He wants you to focus on your short comings and failures of life. He wants you to focus on the disappointments of your life. He will tell you what you see is what you will always have.
Are you focused on your present? - Our life is not defined by how it is right now now. We must be able to see greater for our lives even in the midst of our current situation
