Why not curse Ham?

Noah perceived evil in Ham that was already developing in Canaan.
IN THIS CASE THE CURSE IS AS PREDICTIVE AS IT IS PUNITIVE.
By the time of the Exodus the Canaanites (and all their other subclans of ites) had a number of debasing practices, including sacred prostitution, homosexuality, and various orgiastic rituals.

Blessings on Seth
Today we talk about semitic tribes, and someone being antisemitic.
This is rooted in the Genesis account of Shem.
Again there is implication for Israel as they are entering the promised land that these people will conquered and that it was GOD ORDAINED.
As we study Genesis 10 we learn about a descendant of Shem, Peleg and in chapter 11 we learn that Peleg is the greatx5 grandfather of Abraham.
The Bible is one cohesive story.
The Table of Nations in Chapter 10 and the genealogy of chapter 11 trace the lineage of Shem to Abraham.
Remember in Genesis 3.15
Then in Luke 3.36 we find that Jesus is in this lineage.
The Bible is HIS Story.
His redemption story.
