Memorial Day
Redeeming Time for God’s Will
- See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is
What is the will of the Lord?
Business
Recreation
Travel
- Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth
- The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance
Walking as the Wise?
Walk circumspectly!
“exactly, accurately, diligently”
Walk in Love
- Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us…
Walk in Light
,- For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
- But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Walking as Fools?
- The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good
- Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Jms. 4:14,15- Life is like a vapour!
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that
Redeem the Time!
- Redeeming the time, because the days are evil
“Make the most out of it?”
- Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
