Ruth 1:6–13 NLT
6 Then Naomi heard in Moab that the Lord had blessed his people in Judah by giving them good crops again. So Naomi and her daughters-in-law got ready to leave Moab to return to her homeland. 7 With her two daughters-in-law she set out from the place where she had been living, and they took the road that would lead them back to Judah. 8 But on the way, Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go back to your mothers’ homes. And may the Lord reward you for your kindness to your husbands and to me. 9 May the Lord bless you with the security of another marriage.” Then she kissed them good-bye, and they all broke down and wept. 10 “No,” they said. “We want to go with you to your people.” 11 But Naomi replied, “Why should you go on with me? Can I still give birth to other sons who could grow up to be your husbands? 12 No, my daughters, return to your parents’ homes, for I am too old to marry again. And even if it were possible, and I were to get married tonight and bear sons, then what? 13 Would you wait for them to grow up and refuse to marry someone else? No, of course not, my daughters! Things are far more bitter for me than for you, because the Lord himself has raised his fist against me.”

But Ruth clung tightly to Naomi. 15 “Look,” Naomi said to her, “your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods. You should do the same.” 16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. 17 Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!” 18 When Naomi saw that Ruth was determined to go with her, she said nothing more. 19 So the two of them continued on their journey. When they came to Bethlehem, the entire town was excited by their arrival. “Is it really Naomi?” the women asked. 20 “Don’t call me Naomi,” she responded. “Instead, call me Mara, for the Almighty has made life very bitter for me. 21 I went away full, but the Lord has brought me home empty. Why call me Naomi when the Lord has caused me to suffer and the Almighty has sent such tragedy upon me?” 22 So Naomi returned from Moab, accompanied by her daughter-in-law Ruth, the young Moabite woman. They arrived in Bethlehem in late spring, at the beginning of the barley harvest.
Hebrews 12:1–13 NLT
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin. And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you. For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.” As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father? If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever? For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.

Hebrews 12:4–15 GW
You struggle against sin, but your struggles haven’t killed you. You have forgotten the encouraging words that God speaks to you as his children: “My child, pay attention when the Lord disciplines you. Don’t give up when he corrects you. The Lord disciplines everyone he loves. He severely disciplines everyone he accepts as his child.” Endure your discipline. God corrects you as a father corrects his children. All children are disciplined by their fathers. If you aren’t disciplined like the other children, you aren’t part of the family. On earth we have fathers who disciplined us, and we respect them. Shouldn’t we place ourselves under the authority of God, the father of spirits, so that we will live? For a short time our fathers disciplined us as they thought best. Yet, God disciplines us for our own good so that we can become holy like him. We don’t enjoy being disciplined. It always seems to cause more pain than joy. But later on, those who learn from that discipline have peace that comes from doing what is right. Strengthen your tired arms and weak knees. Keep walking along straight paths so that your injured leg won’t get worse. Instead, let it heal. Try to live peacefully with everyone, and try to live holy lives, because if you don’t, you will not see the Lord. Make sure that everyone has kindnessfrom God so that bitterness doesn’t take root and grow up to cause trouble that corrupts many of you.

Opening Up Ruth Chapter 1: Forsaking the Lord and Its Consequences (1:1–5)

Judges 2:6–19 provides the context for understanding the opening verses of Ruth 1. ‘In the days when the judges ruled’ is shorthand for ‘In the days when the Lord’s people forsook the Lord, rebelled against his rule (each man doing as he saw fit), suffered the consequences and needed a rescuer.’

hebrews 12”15
The Message Chapter 1

there was a famine in the land. A man from Bethlehem in Judah left home to live in the country of Moab, he and his wife and his two sons.

When dealing with Pain, we must be very careful we don’t move prematurely in famines
making life altering decisions when your hungry or have void can be dangerous..
when your in pain you can become attracted to a substitute.
The Message Chapter 1

They all went to the country of Moab and settled there.

1.a) Whenever your willing to settle in a place that’s not God ordained.. Spiritual & physically death is coming.
Accept or agree to (something that one considers to be less than satisfactory)
1.a There are people that settled in relationships and are extremely miserable.. settled with education, jobs & health situations..
The Message Chapter 1

One day she got herself together, she and her two daughters-in-law, to leave the country of Moab and set out for home; she had heard that GOD had been pleased to visit his people and give them food. And so she started out from the place she had been living,

The Message Chapter 1

After a short while on the road, Naomi told her two daughters-in-law, “Go back. Go home and live with your mothers. And may GOD treat you as graciously as you treated your deceased husbands and me. May GOD give each of you a new home and a new husband!” She kissed them and they cried openly.

10  They said, “No, we’re going on with you to your people.”

The Message Chapter 1

Again they cried openly. Orpah kissed her mother-in-law good-bye; but Ruth embraced her and held on.

15  Naomi said, “Look, your sister-in-law is going back home to live with her own people and gods; go with her.”

16–17  But Ruth said, “Don’t force me to leave you; don’t make me go home. Where you go, I go; and where you live, I’ll live. Your people are my people, your God is my god; where you die, I’ll die, and that’s where I’ll be buried, so help me GOD—not even death itself is going to come between us!”

18–19  When Naomi saw that Ruth had her heart set on going with her, she gave in. And so the two of them traveled on together to Bethlehem.

2. We Must Knew who are seasonal and who are full-time.. let me say it like this We must know who is only temporary and who is permanent
Seasonal folks cant survive your 4 seasons, they will frezze in your winter and burn up in your summer, shrivel up and die in your fall & fail to blossm in your spring
Listen you need all-season saints!!!All season friends!! watch this.. all season family.. Some times they can be a trip..
Psalm 55:12–14 The Message
This isn’t the neighborhood bully mocking me—I could take that. This isn’t a foreign devil spitting invective—I could tune that out. It’s you! We grew up together! You! My best friend! Those long hours of leisure as we walked arm in arm, God a third party to our conversation.
Ps 55:12

12 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it:

Neither was it he that hated me that did nmagnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:

13 But it was thou, †a man mine equal,

My oguide, and mine pacquaintance.

14 †We took sweet qcounsel together,

And rwalked unto the house of God in qcompany.

Things are far more bitter for me than for you, because the LORD himself has raised his fist against me.”

2.b) Permanent people can help you not personalize everything.. some times Life deals you a hand that seems bad butt. God has a way of turning things around.. he can make your bitter, better..

19 So the two of them continued on their journey. When they came to Bethlehem, the entire town was excited by their arrival. “Is it really Naomi?” the women asked.

20 “Don’t call me Naomi,” she responded. “Instead, call me Mara,* for the Almighty has made life very bitter for me. 21 I went away full, but the LORD has brought me home empty. Why call me Naomi when the LORD has caused me to suffer* and the Almighty has sent such tragedy upon me?”

2 c) Don’t call me Naomi, call me Mara..Bitterness, emptiness, suffering & Tragedy.. Thats all she could see..
Gods plan was greater for her, but she was a victim of her past failures, hurts and abandonments.. Her toxic behavior could have spoiled Ruth..
Have we been victims of someone’s toxic behavior? very negitive, never can see light alway dark and deem, always a victim never a victor.. All man are dogs, all women are &^^##.. TOXIC.. You will never get married, Your To Old to do this, Your Not smart enough to graduate or get promoted.. Toxic ..
The Danger is you go from Victim to Perpetrator. Many molesters, where molested.
Danger again, you spread your toxic behavior into someone, you repent change and they don’t.
Hebrews deals with endurance in 12.2
who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame,
NlT Because of the joy* awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame

“My child, pay attention when the Lord disciplines you.

Don’t give up when he corrects you.

6  The Lord disciplines everyone he loves.

He severely disciplines everyone he accepts as his child.”

7 If ye endure chastening, uGod dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father vchasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, wwhereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

illegitimate children dont like to be corrected & they really are not God’s children..
How well do you handle Correction, when you don’t like what was said to you, does it make you pray and stay away??
Or are you the good ole keep your mouth shut till I can get on social media and share my opinion..

11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.

Look at you neighbor and tell them get a grip!!! I can’t speak for you but i refuse to be a spiritual bastard!!
There are a lot In Church!!! Cant tell them nothing. Can’t take correction.. The only thing as bad as a child who thinks they know more than their parent. Is a member that thinks the know more than the pastor.

17 And aall the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink. 2 bWherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye ctempt the LORD? 3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people dmurmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst? 4 And Moses ecried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to fstone me. 5 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith gthou smotest hthe river, take in thine hand, and go. 6 iBehold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. 7 And he called the name of the place k||Massah, and ||Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

The Root of bitterness produces the spirt to Argue & Quarrel..& Criticize
Numbers 12
Numbers 12 The Message
Miriam and Aaron talked against Moses behind his back because of his Cushite wife (he had married a Cushite woman). They said, “Is it only through Moses that God speaks? Doesn’t he also speak through us?” God overheard their talk. Now the man Moses was a quietly humble man, more so than anyone living on Earth. God broke in suddenly on Moses and Aaron and Miriam saying, “Come out, you three, to the Tent of Meeting.” The three went out. God descended in a Pillar of Cloud and stood at the entrance to the Tent. He called Aaron and Miriam to him. When they stepped out, he said, Listen carefully to what I’m telling you. If there is a prophet of God among you, I make myself known to him in visions, I speak to him in dreams. But I don’t do it that way with my servant Moses; he has the run of my entire house; I speak to him intimately, in person, in plain talk without riddles: He ponders the very form of God. So why did you show no reverence or respect in speaking against my servant, against Moses? The anger of God blazed out against them. And then he left. When the Cloud moved off from the Tent, oh! Miriam had turned leprous, her skin like snow. Aaron took one look at Miriam—a leper! He said to Moses, “Please, my master, please don’t come down so hard on us for this foolish and thoughtless sin. Please don’t make her like a stillborn baby coming out of its mother’s womb with half its body decomposed.” And Moses prayed to God: Please, God, heal her, please heal her. God answered Moses, “If her father had spat in her face, wouldn’t she be ostracized for seven days? Quarantine her outside the camp for seven days. Then she can be readmitted to the camp.” So Miriam was in quarantine outside the camp for seven days. The people didn’t march on until she was readmitted. Only then did the people march from Hazeroth and set up camp in the Wilderness of Paran.
Tap your neighbor and tell them God will Quarantine somebody quick that has a root of bitterness…Keep them away from the population..
See It wasn’t about Moses marrying a Cushite women, she could have been Asian, Italian or Russian.. The problem was she was different....They Didn’t like the fact that she was not like them..
Miriam & Aaron where former salves, but Zipporah wasn’t she was royalty.. She came from money and knew how to take care of her man of God..
Exodus 4:24–25 KJV 1900
And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the Lord met him, and sought to kill him. Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.
Exodus 4:25 KJV 1900
Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.
See Moses had just left the bush, and was given his God given assignment.. But he had never followed thru with Covenant with his Children and circumcised them, And How can you go in the Name of the Lord and not follow the rules of Engagement...
Many folks are bitter because things have turned out bad on their way to full-filling a God given assignment.. Ask your neighbor are you walking in Covenant?
Hebrews 12:12
Hebrews 12:12–13 NLT
So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.

14 Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. 15 Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.
