Before the Beginning, there was God

The reason we need study the attributes of God, even though we cannot inexhaustibly fully know everything about God. He has made himself known to us through special revelation and general revelation.
Genesis 1:1 NASB95
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

2. This opening sentence of the Bible is simple in its wording, but heavy with stupendous thought. It stands as the opening of all history, the boundary line back of which the human mind cannot hope to reach and understand.

When we speak of special revelation, it is referring to what the Scriptures have reveled to us about God and also that Jesus Christ took on flesh to make God known to us. When I speak of us, I’m speaking to those have confess that Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives. Jesus has

3. Special Revelation:

Hebrews 1:1–3 ESV
1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. Rom.
Romans 5:9 ESV
9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
John 17:6–8 ESV
6 “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you. 8 For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me.
John 17:6-9

4. General Revelation: General revelation is referred to as “general” revelation because it has a general content and is revealed to a general audience. Through general revelation to all men, God communicates His existence, His power, and His glory, such that men are left without excuse.

Romans 1:19–20 ESV
19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
Rom. 1:19
Romans 1:20 The Message
20 By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can’t see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being. So nobody has a good excuse.
rom. 1:19,20
