Introduction: Why this series?
We are back in our series, talking about 100 atag! This series means a lot to me, and i hope it means a lot to you. Someone might wonder; how does studying the character of God help students? Well let me put to rest any thoughts you may have about this not being practical.
23 God’s Message: “Don’t let the wise brag of their wisdom. Don’t let heroes brag of their exploits. Don’t let the rich brag of their riches. 24 If you brag, brag of this and this only: That you understand and know me. I’m God, and I act in loyal love. I do what’s right and set things right and fair, and delight in those who do the same things. These are my trademarks.” God’s Decree.
Jeremiah 9:23-
This is what God wants, he wants us to know him, He wants us to understand him. All through scripture those who have a limited knowledge of God acted outside His will and that brought about Judgement. God desire is that we will not dies but live and experience true Joy, but that begins with getting to know him.
So let’s get to know God today! You Ready?
Awesome thing #61 God Is Seeker
10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
Jesus is here giving his reason for coming to earth, for his death. He came to earth to seek the lost, and he died to save the Lost. What a sacrifice it must have been to leave the portals of Heaven to come to this lesser place with these harsh, unloving, ungrateful people! But he did it any way.
When have you ever gone out of your way to show love to someone?
Yeah, sometimes we give to others, we do nice things. But have you checked out your motives? Why are you doing it? We seldom ever do anything that does not benefit us in some way, shape, or form.
But Jesus, He’s a true Seeker. If you’re not a christian he’s seeking you, constantly knocking on your hearts door “please why won’t you turn to me?” you have an opportunity again today, believe that he paid the price for your Sin, and make a 180 degree turn from it.

Awesome thing #62 God Is Savior
14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
We don’t need to go into this any further, if you knew me before i was a christian, you’d know that God is a saving God. Look at the lives of any true believer, what they were, what they are now. God is Savior.
Awesome thing #63 God Is Worthy
11 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
This scene was spoken of in Pas Al’s series in revelation, i hope you remember that. The 24 elders bow down in adoration to Jesus, not because they got paid to do so, you see, they’ve come to know the true worth of Jesus Christ, how precious he is, how honest, and kind, and i could go on and on, and on. He is worthy! Do you see that? We should be waking up every morning and saying “God is Worthy”, we got out of one of those crazy buses safely - “God is worthy”, We are able to worship God in a country where peoples heads are not being chopped off for believing in Jesus - “God is Worthy”
Clothes on your back, food on the table, money in your pocket, an opportunity to be educated, a loving parent, a caring pastor, a trustworthy friend. oh my goodness, why aren’t we seeing this? God is worthy.
Awesome thing #64 God Is Lion
And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
One child asked one of their parent who is an itinerant minister (someone who travels to different places and preach and does ministry) “daddy what do you do when you travel?” He replied i fight dragons sweetheart.
Was he trying to deceive his child? No, he knew, based on her age he couldn’t share the full extent of what he does for her to understand. So he accommodated her understanding.
And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
But that’s what people in ministry does.
The devil is real! He is and if God is not in control of your life guess what? He is. says the dragon is a devourer. 2 Corinthians calls him the god of this world.
4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
So we fight those dragons, it oppress people, enslaves them, kills them. He’s awaiting the opportunity to take your life before you know Jesus as Savior and Lord.
But God is Lion, by that we conqueror, he has placed the devil under his feet and crushed his head. Who will you serve? The lying, devouring, murderous dragon or the Lion who conquers all?
Awesome thing #65 God Is Trustworthy
5 Your decrees are very trustworthy; holiness befits your house, O Lord, forevermore.
Psalm 93:5
You think your best friend is trustworthy? Wait till you start trusting God! A person who is trustworthy is reliable, dependable, comes through not when you want them to but when you need them to. Is confidential, keeps promises, and catch this is perfect at it? God. How trustworthy are you? Are you like God in that respect? Or does the persons who love you most have to think twice about what you’re saying?
I would venture to say that
Your trustworthiness begins with trusting the one who is most trustworthy, Jesus Christ.
Awesome thing #66 God Is Warrior
3 The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is his name.
Exod 15
This verse is part of a song the Israelites sang after God fought the Egyptians on their behalf, killing all who sought to kill them. It’s so dangerous to be on the wrong side of a war, especially when the person you’re fighting against is the all-powerful God of the universe.
The question here is which camp are you in? The Egyptians or the Israelites? Some of you might be tempted to say neither, but there is no in between, that’s an illusion. Here’s why:
30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

Awesome thing #67 God Is Mighty To Save
17 The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
There may be some of you who says; “with all the things that i’ve done, God can’t possibly save me!” but your wrong, the Lord can save anyone. In mark 10 After teaching on the difficulty of getting to heaven, the disciples asked, then who can be saved? But Jesus replied With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.
You may find it hard to believe but Jesus still loves you, no matter what you’ve done. He is Mighty to save.

3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

I don’t know how many of you like history, but it’s very important to note the thousand’s of Kings that have come and gone. But God continues to rule above them all. That’s so important because life could feel sometimes like there’s a different ruler. But God is King. King of Kings.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
We serve a resurrected Savior. The bible teaches in
1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—

Ephesians 2:1-
That we if we are not christians are dead in Sin, that means we think we are in control, but we are not, sin is in control, you feed, pet it, serve it, and you are a slave to it. Jesus died to break that power, and he was resurrected as evidence that you can live again, in the same way he was resurrected. Why would you want to remain dead? Live, Live, Live. Let Jesus Resurrect you!
Awesome thing #70 God Is Invisible
Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion,
To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

I think most of our problems with trusting God exists so much because of this fact God is invisible. We cannot see him, that takes a lot of faith to believe and obey, and trust someone we cannot see. But you do that all the time “trust in what you cannot see” gravity, the water source, the air you breathe, you don’t see these things, but you see their effect, the results they produce. God is the one who made all these things, he made you, and me. Trust Him.
24 Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.” 26 Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” 28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Happy you are you, if even though you don’t see you believe.
