A Great life (Eternally)!

draws some contrasts between the upright and the wicked. We don’t have to think much about wicked or evil very much, it is all around.
Suicide national average in 2016 is 12.93 per 100,000 people. (Insert slide)
These are people who have no hope (Expand)
gives some contrasts, gives some assurances of a great life for the believer (they call the upright).
(Insert illustration of my previous thought of great life)

The Upright will never lack

- (Slide) The upright, the righteous will never hunger
Proverbs 10:3 NASB95
3 The Lord will not allow the righteous to hunger, But He will reject the craving of the wicked.
(Slide) So how is the soul fed? -
Matthew 5:6 NASB95
6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
We are blessed when we hunger and thirst for righteousness. when we do we will never be without, we will be satisfied.
(Slide )Sometimes our souls are fed at the hands of others, or us lifting our hands out to others. (Slide)
Luke 6:30–31 NASB95
30 “Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. 31 “Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.
To know that God is with us, that He will always provide or us then we will never for or want since HE meets our needs. (Slide)
Psalm 34:9 NASB95
9 O fear the Lord, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want.
(Transition) The upright, the just, the righteous, is the one who has the true fear of the Lord (reverence) and knows HE will provide and even bless us, or as () says our heads will be covered with blessings.

The Uprights head will be covered with blessings

(Slide) -
Proverbs 10:6 NASB95
6 Blessings are on the head of the righteous, But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
People can try to conceal, hide wickedness and evil, but it will be exposed (Slide)
Luke 8:17 NASB95
17 “For nothing is hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light.
So we can’t hide anything, but those who are righteous are those who know the Lord and walk in His ways, in turn He pours out blessings too numeral to count.
(Slide) Maybe you don’t think so, maybe you don’t see the blessings and you need some help.
(Slide) Turn to God’s Word, see the promises and the blessings
(Slide) Turn to God’s people and let them help you seen the blessings in your life
(Insert Illustration: Gratitude life)
(Transition) When we understand what we have in our blessings, and we are grateful for them, it helps our attitude and our output, in other words our mouth.

III. The Uprights mouth is a source of life!

(Slide) Our mouth should be a good source of good things (Slide) ()
Proverbs 18:21 NASB95
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
(Slide) We should not let it be negative or evil things (Slide) ()
Ephesians 5:4 NASB95
4 and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.
(Slide) Let your lips be using words of edification, to build up, encourage the body. To speak words of:
(Slide) Faith - - - - - emphasis evangelism here
(Slide )Truth
(Slide) And Life
Lif
(Transition) So you mouth will bring Good News; your head will be covered with blessings, your soul will be cared for and now know He wants to give you your desires

The Uprights Desires will be filled.

(Slide) So wThe hat is the desire of your heart?
(Slide) Is it your assured salvation?
(Slide )Salvation of your family and friends?
(Slide) Is it physical health? Healing? - It’s OK to want this, it’s OK to even ask for this. God can do anything He chooses to do.
(Slide) We can’t think about these things, the desires of our heart without - (Slide) - slow down, take time to develop this!
Psalm 37:3–5 NASB95
3 Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
(Transition) So through faith, trust you are able to commit and delight yourself through faithful prayer so our days maybe lengthened
V. The Uprights days maybe lengthened
(Slide) Knowing the truth and walking in the truth extends our life, eternally
(Slide) Why? because we have some biblical principles to live by
(Slide) of faith - (summarize Lk5:1-11)
(Slide) Principals of obedience bearing rewards (Slide) ()
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life." Jn8:12 (NASB)
To follow something, someone you need to watch them, see what they do and then do it.
The benefits to this is you will not be lead astray or wrong but lead into the marvelous light the Light of the World and the Light of Life
VI. The upright and proper use of the mouth
(Slide) As you may know the mouth can cause lots of problems (v.6) (Slide) ()
James 3:5–6 NASB95
5 So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire! 6 And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.
(Slide) The upright the Christian has wisdom to speak (vv.13, 31) (Slide) ( )
Colossians 4:6 NASB95
6 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.
(Slide) Then there is the lost art of listening and keeping quiet (v.19) (Slide) ()
James 1:19 NASB95
19 This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;
(Slide) We should have precious things to say, to utter (v.20)(Slide) ()
Ephesians 4:29 NASB95
29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.
Finally the Christians’s words are well-ordered and planned (v.32) ()
Proverbs 10:32 NASB95
32 The lips of the righteous bring forth what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked what is perverted.
So, isn’t it the great life? We have the words, the wisdom to speak words of life to a dead person.
(Slide) Words that can bring faith (Rom10:17)
(Slide) Words that can bring repentance (2Cor7:10)
(Slide) Words of confession (Rom10:9-10)
(Slide) Words that bring obedience (Act2:38)
(Slide) Words that lead to a new life (Rom6:3-4)
To follow something, someone you need to watch them, see what they do and then do it.
Invitation: IT’s a great life for those who are in Christ Jesus! So, be in Christ.
