Sacrificial Giving as Christ gave himself for the church.

He did not selfishly pursue his own interests, but that which was the best for His bride.

A husband must discern the need of his wife.

The husband must be willing to lay down his life for his bride.

Physically,

Mentally - be all there, listen

Emotionally

The example is Christ’s total commitment to us. He gave though it cost him everything.

Christ loves the church by cleansing her with the word.

The husband is to lead the wife and family spiritually.

Make knowing God your priority.

Make praying for your family your ministry.

Your ultimate purpose is that they know Christ.

Not degrees, or material things.

How does a man cherish? He spends his time on something. He values it.

We naturally cherish our own bodies and interests.

The best way to love yourself is to love your wife.

Provide for her needs. Demonstrates her value, just as Christ did for the church.

Christ is eternally committed to His bride.

The word hold fast means to “glue together.”
