Man Of God Who Experienced A Moment of Depression
When we read this passage of scripture, we see that Job, a man that was described by God himself as one who was blameless, upright, feared God, and turned away from evil, is afflicted.
Satan comes before God,
Have you considered my servant Job (blamless, upright, fears God, turns from evil)
Satan responds - Why wouldn’t he serve you ( You have put a hedge of protection about him)
God says all that he has is in your hand
As we read the Story we see that Satan takes Job’s Prosperity and Children, then we continue on and see that Satan attacks Job’s health.
v 16 - Days of affliction have taken hold of me.
V17 - He is in constant pain at night
V20 - I cry out to you for help, but you do not answer
V21 - You have become cruel to me.
V23 - I know that you will bring me to death.
