How to Be Filled by the Spirit
Being filled with the spirit is to be a continuous reality for the Christian (present passive).
The Bible says to grieve not the Spirit (by sinning against Him)
The Bible says to quench not the Spirit (by disobedience)
Be controlled by the Spirit.
Walk in the Spirit.
The works of the flesh leads to strife. :
The fruit of the Spirit
Be filled by prayer, fellowship with God.

The Holy Spirit who inspired the Word of God, will illuminate it to your heart and give you understanding to meet your need.

Be Praising together
The mark of a redeemed person is praise for the one who Redeemed them.
Psalms - for comfort (), for anxiety (), for fear of danger () for direction (), for discouragement ().
God will take His word and apply it to your heart to meet your need in that moment.
Hymns - doctrinal faith in song. Focuses upon the person and work of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Spiritual Songs - testimonies of what the Lord has done. (ESV) He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.

The choice to sing.
Be Thankful
All the time for everything. This can only be done as you are yielded to the Spirit of God.
How can we praise in the midst of hardship and trouble. We praise God for His soverienty, His care for us, His redemption.
