Fifty Reasons Why Jesus Came to Die Chapter 1: To Absorb the Wrath of God

If God were not just, there would be no demand for his Son to suffer and die.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—” (, ESV)

7. But the love of God does not rest with the curse that hangs over all sinful humanity. He is not content to show wrath, no matter how holy it is.
