Stained Glass Christians

True stained glass has color that goes through out the piece. No part of the glass escapes the color.

But there is glass that just appears to be stained glass. The glass is actually clear and only has a painted coating on the outside. If you scratch this coating the clear glass beneath shines through.

Are we stained glass Christians? Does his love seep into every pore? Is there any part of us that is not colored by his mercy? Or are we simply coated on the outside? When something scratches the surface of our faith do people see clear nothingness or do they see the deep rich color of God shining through?

Lord, let us be true stained glass people.
