Story of the man pumping water!
The water was moving him.
One author points out that we can’t expect to be this passive in our Christian life, but we do need to realize that the Christian life is a supernatural experience.
We must need to realize and rely on God to live this life.
Paul told Timothy in the early verses of 2 Timothy.
Do not be ashamed about the Testimony of Christ Jesus or of me his prisoner.
Instead, share in suffering for the Gospel, RELYING ON GOD’S POWER.
In the book of Ephesians Paul spends the first three chapters talking about our blessings IN Christ, and beginning in chapter 4 he shares how to live out or faith. in light of who we are in Christ.
Today we are going to look at the connecting verses where Paul tells them at the end of chapter 3 how he prays for them.
Paul’s three prayers.
Power to....
Live Out Your Faith
“empowered with power”
Know God’s Love
“know the unknowable”
Experience God’s Fullness
“Filled with fullness”
CAN THIS REALLY HAPPEN?
Yes! God will give you the power to live out your faith.
In good times and in bad.
God wants you to know of His love for you that goes beyond your storms, your sin, and yourself.
God wants you to keep walking with Him, keep relying on Him, keep getting to know Him, keep obeying Him, keep making much of Him.
He wants to fill you with all He has for you.
The Christian life is not one with obstacles.
But it acompanied by a promise that God is ABLE!!!
