Introduction
Recently, I was a part of a group that went on a mission trip to Tampa Bay, Florida.
We worked with a great church.
Helped the homeless.
And prepared a room for a woman getting out of the sex trafficking industry.
In between projects, we checked out the Tampa radio stations.
Our dilemma was no aux cord.
And no bluetooth access.

On that trip I heard Ed Sheehan’s new song.
And I kinda liked the catchiness of it.
Not necessarily the lyrics.
But after about day 4, I remembered why I don’t like the radio.
This new song quickly become an old song.
The radio had ruined it by playing it 15 times a day.

I have no doubt that you can think of a new song that has quickly become an old song.
It’s easy for everyone in this room to connect in that regard.
But, what if this was a metaphor for our life, for our walk with God, for the way we saw things?
What if we were people who asked God to take the old song out of our mouth and to give us a new song?
