Gone back - still going to church

I have made the assertion that people keep joining church - but not joining Jesus
We enjoy the experience, status, enjoy the fellowship 60-70% of people never have real relationship or real biblical knowledge about Jesus
Who wouldn't want to be with Jesus
Never get Hungry, - Capable of feeding 5000
Don’t have to go to Doctor, Touch the hem of His Garment
Weather gets bad - Wake Him up - Speak to wind and waves
Want to have a party - Caterer with best wine ever been tasted
If someone He loves dies - Speak with a Loud voice
In our text
Fed 5000 men
Walked on water to meet his disciples
For people - Moses didn't give you bread from heaven - My Father
Words for Jews - I am the bread that came down from heaven
I Am the bread of life
I Am Living Bread
Give them a hard saying
unless you eat my flesh and Drink my blood you will not have life
Going away
Many have turned and walked away - Jesus has turned to His disciples and asked the question - will you go away also

Inadequate believing withdraws in times of confusion (John 6:66), but true commitment endures by looking to Christ for the resources of life (6:68).

What do you mean inadequate believing
Jesus’ told a parable about the soil - sower went out to sow
by the wayside, Birds came ate, evil one come snatch away
stony places, No depth - not root in himself - persecution and affliction falls away
among the thorns, thorns choked - the worry for the world and deceitfulness of riches
(KJV) 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. Lots Wife - could resist what you used to do
(KJV) 5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
All Grounds
(KJV) 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. Lots Wife - could resist what you used to do
Many of us - have lack biblical depth - Struggle get to bible study
C student in school - flunking out of bible knowledge
Many of us have falling away greatly - we lack biblical foundation - so the world can’t tell you from a non saved person
Some of us have turned to salt - amounting to nothingness, moving into obscurity, have no legacy, all we do is look back in a world of what we used to do
The devil and our flesh have so tricked us into wanting to be entertained more that enlightened or informed
That why every person looks good, party, pretty, plenty of game, pair of jeans, polite, power, Place, popping clothes is a temptation to us and potential
But if we could just look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith
Turn our midnights into today, haters into elevators, troubles into strength builders, tears into laughter
Where will we go - others have words
Peter - impetuous, volatile one, quick draw, foulmouth fisherman
Respond - where can we go -
What is the alternative
Allah - Confucius - Buddha - Mary baker Eddy popularized L.Ron Hubbard, Joesph Smith - Mormon Movement, Charles Taze - Jehovah witness founder, Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam
Thou has the words of eternal life
We have heard that if your word is nothing then you are nothing
If you can trust a mans word – then you can’t trust that man
Jesus said the words I speak are spirit and they are life
(KJV) 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (KJV) 26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels. (KJV) 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
I heard you Speak
Hillside of Capernaum – Open your mouth and began to teach
• Blessed are the poor in spirit – There is the kingdom of God • Blesses are they that mourn – for they shall be comforted • Meek – they shall inherit the earth • Hunger and thirst after righteousness – they shall be filled • Merciful – they shall obtain mercy • Pure in heart – for they shall see God
I heard you Speak Get lame men out of their bed
Cause the blind to see again
nature to obey
heard by the dead
That shouldn't surprise you because In the beginning was the word
We Believe and are sure
We are sure – Come to know – Learned to know – Certainty
Greek – we have come to believe and still believe
Confidence – Trust - Assurance
She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
New level of relationship this kind of revelation brings relationship
Not just connected but in relationship
Half of the way home
Connected act differently than those in relationship
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
That Christ - definite article - not a Christ be that Christ
She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
