"Still committed"
John is imprisoned on the Island of Patmos. The Scripture says,"For the word of God and the testimony of Jesus." (explain later)

John receives a revelation of what we would consider the end of the world. Some believe these things of already been fulfilled during the days of the Roman Empire and Nero, while others believe these things are yet to be. Still, others believe we are right in the middle of the events of Revelation.
What stands out in my mind about this verse is there was no announcement of a prophecy. It just arrives. The fact that it comes so early in John’s epistle, and it is not connected to the previous doxology and is a strange ending to the initial prologue, stands out in my mind.
The one who sees this image and who makes this promise and possesses this vision is still committed to the cause of Christ and trusts in the sovereignty of God.
John has an image of the Lord coming in the clouds.
This refers to the prophecy of the coming of the Son of Man and Daniel chapter 7: 13,
In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approach the ancient of days and was led into his presence."
Clouds express both the mystery and the Majesty of God. Numbers chapter 11 says,"the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to Moses." And says god makes the clouds his chariot and arrives on the wings of the wind." This is a vision of the Lord Jesus returning in triumph.
What does this have to do with Palm Sunday? Everything.
Only a handful of Jesus followers saw him ride triumphantly into Jerusalem; this time, every I will see him. From the father's islands to the most frigid poles, both hemispheres will stand in all of the magnificent glory or the most dreadful vision ever–of the return of Jesus.
This triumph will be for all to see. We require faith to see Jesus now, but not then.'s return will be Broadcast on every news feed and media outlet on the face of the earth.
John admits that some will mourn as if they just witnessed a terrible accident. Others will rejoice to the glory of God.
Our faith as Christians entirely depends on the return of Jesus Christ. I go to places now to study and learn where this scripture and everyone like it is some code of conspiracy that the early church used to survive Roman persecution. I share it with you today because some of us are still committed.

1. Committed to the cause of Christ:

without salvation faith to follow and an authoritative revelation to it here to many women would destroyed themselves by all devices and temptations of the world. I am still committed to the fact that we die daily, that we yield to God's will and surrendered to his authority.

2. Committed to the church and this witness on earth:

the ability to transform peoples lives is unmistakeable…. I know she has to problems, but they are no different and the problems believe is faced throughout world history. God's grace was always present in the following people who would challenge by any road in culture and needed the light of witness just to survive. (Daniel…Simeon… Hanna)

3. Committed to the ministry of reconciliation:

4. Committed to magnifying the Lord to praise and worship:

It is important to magnify the Lord…
notice all revelation opens.

5. Committed to suffer for his name’s sake.

5. Committed to suffer for his name’s sake. Consider when John and his companions went through.

Consider when John and his companions went through.

6. Committed to the hope of his appearing:

remember Paul statement to Timothy… that blessed hold causes believers to live for Christ in and purity. The other day they sold our rights to Internet privacy… some believe that they sold the presidency of United States… some believe that the church itself has become a marketplace, again of thieves and robbers; the one thing they have not taken over is my soul.
Your Christian commitment means everything today. We are surrounded by unclean spirits. Doctrines by demons proliferate the public square. You do not know who to believe anymore. You have to know the Holy Spirit to test the spirits whether they be of God.
We may change the way we worship but not who we worship. We may change our style of preaching but we must not be ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God and the them who believe.
The Bible says,"be not deceived; God is not mocked. Whatever a person sews that they shall also reap.
