INTRO>>>
We have been challenged to pray an incredibly bold prayer…
Jesus break me…
No one likes the idea of being broken…seems messy and painful
But it is at the end of ourselves that we find a loving God
In a few moments we are going to participate in communion…
You may be new to this idea of church and have no idea what communion is…
It is simply a time of personal reflection and examination
remembering the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus gave on the cross
The bread represents Jesus and his broken body
The cup represents Jesus blood
Our approach to the Lord’s supper says a lot about who we are…and how we relate to God
If you have placed, your faith in Jesus and asked him for:
Forgiveness of your sins
and
to be Lord of your life
We encourage you to take communion
If you are unsure or have questions we encourage you to take this time and reflect on God’s perfect love for you…and always remember we would love to talk with you more about God’s perfect love for you
We have provided individual….communion
elements that include the bread and the cup
We encourage you to create a space within the next few minutes a get alone…with God….this is between you and God…
Reflect of his greatness
Remember the ultimate sacrifice that he paid
The Lord's Supper is not a mere religious tradition.
It is a call to remember Christ’s perfect love for humanity
In a few minutes you will take bread and cup in your hand.
Remember Christ died for the church.
HE died so that we could have communion with God
So we could have a relationship with God Almighty
23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,
24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
