Trust God
Life sometimes can be funny.
Just when you think you have the hang of it something happens to make you feel like you're in it by yourself.
I’ve discovered lately that everything don’t just come out the way you always want it.
At times what you planned and what happens in life are on opposite ends of the spectrum.
Today my brothers and sisters I find it important to emphasize the fact that we serve a God who always knows what’s best for us.
I recall hearing my grandmother and others say that God will never place more on you than you can bear.
However, I have discovered that God will place more on you then you can bear.
If you could bear it you wouldn’t need God.
The problem is though:
We don’t want any discomfort in life.
We don’t want any pains, and we don’t want any problems.
We want an easy task, we want roses with no thorns, we want joy with no sorrow, we want sunshine with no rain, and we want highs with no lows.
However, my friends, life is just not that way.
For if life was just that easy we would never pray, we would be even more ungrateful and we would find ourselves in a mode of complacency.
Therefore with all of our misfortunes and burdens, our pains and anxieties we are called upon to trust the Lord.
For regardless of our despair He knows what’s best.
Our text deals with a people, Judah, whom are in captivity and have become fretful of their future.
These people had began to wonder to themselves had God left them alone.
They wondered were they to struggle and not have any hope.
God sends word to them by Isaiah, that they may be encouraged, he informs them that God has heard their cry and motivates them to trust the Lord.
As I look at this passage I am encouraged and hope you can see the message God has delivered to each of us today.
