Sermon Tone Analysis

*Faith, many stopped following him because this teaching was so hard*.

He called his disciples and apologized and said I DID NOT REALLY MEAN THAT MY FLESH WAS REAL FOOD OR MY BLOOD WAS REAL DRINK.GO AND TELL THEM ALL TO COME BACK.

He did not say that instead he called his disciples and said will you also leave because this teaching is too hard.

He did not change his teaching He made no apology.

He did not compromise the truth because people could not accept the truth.

The Catholic Church does not apologize for this teaching received from Christ.

She does not turn away because this teaching is too hard.

The Catholic Church accepts fully the doctrine of the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

She accepts this most wonderful of all gifts and each year she reminds her children of this wonderful gift given to us by Jesus.

We are like people who live next to one of the wonders of the world.

We have lived there so long we no longer even see it.

We are like someone who received a gift but never even opened the gift to appreciate what has been given.

The real language of deep prayer is silence.

Prayer is a mystery silence is its language..

 

The work of the Holy Spirit in the Eucharist  is not only to transform the bread and wine into the body and blood of Jesus Christ but he is also making us one in Christ.

We must have the faith to believe that Jesus comes and comes everyday.

He is always with us in the Eucharist fulfilling his promise to be with us to the end of time.

*PREPARATION*

The preparation to receive Holy Communion is very very important and the thanksgiving we make after communion is also very very important because we  receive the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist in the measure that we bring our presence  to Jesus in the Eucharist.

If we receive the Eucharist and our minds are in the market our communion with Jesus has been very shallow.
