Not safe, predictable, harmless prayers. Dangerous: Search Me, Break Me.
Today – Send Me
Based on prayer requests—Most prayers are for us or those we love!
Get into school. Heal my grandma. Help me get a job. Help marriage.
Should pray those prayers—but don’t limit yourself.

We want God to do for us.
What if we Prayed more about what we could do for God?
Romans 10:13–15 NLT
For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”
Prayer of availability: Today will be ANCHOR
I have had people ask how can I reach the lost if all my friends are believers? How do I reach the lost if I am never around the lost?
I have had people ask how can I reach the lost if all my friends are believers? How do I reach the lost if I am never around the lost?
Before God will answer that he needs your heart to change.
From – send missionaries, To- Send Me!
You have to want to be sent – before he will show you the door!

3 RESPONSES TO GOD’S CALL

1.) Jonah: Here I am. I’m not going.

Jonah 1:1–3 NIV
The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord.
Wonder how many sensed God calling you, leading you.
Lady road. Kept on driving
Not doing it—Too much going on. Not giving—needs. Here I am—not.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.) MOSES: HERE I AM. SEND SOMEONE ELSE.

Exodus 3:10 NIV
So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”
Exodus 3:11 NIV
But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
Send Aaron—Someone else. Not right person. (Send $ and prayers but not going myself)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.) ISAIAH: HERE I AM. SEND ME.

Isaiah 6:8 NIV
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
I believe in your mission God – send me
I love you God – Send me.
I honor your ways Lord – Send me
I love the broken, hurting – Send me
I once was lost but now I am found – Send me
If I don’t go who will – Send me
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO FULLY SURRENDER TO GOD?

1.) A GENUINE EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRESENCE OF GOD.

Isaiah 6:1 NIV
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.
Vs 3 - Holy, Holy, Holy—Whole earth full of his glory—More avail to God Now?
Draw near to God—he will draw near to you
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.) A GENUINE AWARENESS OF YOUR SINFULNESS.

Biggest cultural lies most people embrace: I’m a good person.
See how good God is—Know how good you’re not.
Isaiah 6:5 NIV
“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”
Self righteousness - the belief that I am better than someone else is the biggest obstacle to reaching the broken and hurting with the good news of Jesus.
You can never bring Life, Joy, and Beauty if you think you are better.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.) A GENUINE UNDERSTANDING OF GOD’S GRACE.

Isaiah 6:6–7 NIV
Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”
Isaiah 6:6 NLT
Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs.
Your lying lips, Hatred, Secret sin, Sexual sin, Stole, Cheated!
Same way the coal removed Isaiah’s guilt & sin, Jesus’ blood takes away ours.
I don’t bring anything—Jesus brings everything!
Grace defeats self-righteousness and allows us to give grace to the hurting and broken.
